Maja Nikolić
Marija "Maja" Nikolić ((セルビア語:Маја Николић), born 11 April 1976 in Niš, Serbia, Yugoslavia) is a contemporary pop star in Serbia.
==Biography and career==
Maja showed a preference for music at the early age. She inherited her singing gift from her father and mother. Her father, Novak has his own band and sings pop music, while her mother Slavica sings traditional music. Maja had her first public appearance at the age of seven, at the festival in Niš "May rose ", when she sang a duet with her brother and won first prize and earned her first salary.
In 2011, Maja got back in the public eye by participating in a number of reality shows. She was removed from a reality show broadcast on Pink TV for insulting Jews by stating she did not like them. She could be charged for hate speech.〔(Maja Nikolić: Ne mogu da me tuže što ne volim Jevreje! )〕
In 2013, Maja took part in Veliki Brat VIP - Serbian edition of Celebrity Big Brother. She was criticised for her behaviour and the way she treated other housemates.
